Geopolymer binders are formed by alkali activation of aluminosilicates using sodium od potassium hydroxide in presence of alkali activator. Geopolymer binders can be used as a substitution of Portland cement-based concrete. The geopolymer binders can be used also for formation of adhesives and paints with high resistability to chemicals and high temperatures. For the characterization of geopolymers are used methods of X-ray analysis. X-ray fluorescence analysis is used for the determination of elemental composition. X-ray diffraction analysis is used for the determination of crystalline phases present in the material.
