Pilot Plant Testing Department
Basic Information
Antonín Schnierer Head of Department |
The Pilot Plant Testing Department is located in Chempark Litvinov - Záluží. It is equipped with experimental apparatuses which are designed as "pilot plants" in relation to chemical production. These test units are connected to the real process gases. This means that the parameters are consistent with the production in Chempark. Process gases are fed to the experimental units through external overhead distribution directly from the production units and their volume is then available in practically unlimited quantities.
The experimental units were custom made and can be variably used for testing the refinery, petrochemical and other processes, catalysts and other process materials. The experimental units are under the constant supervision of specialized staff of the experimental base. The experimental base is equipped with a total of 18 pieces of multiple stage experimental apparatus.
Experimental Units Parameters
Within this unique facility it is possible to carry out the following activities:

Reactor systems are especially adapted for continuous catalytic processes. Therefore tubular reactors with fixed catalyst bed are used. Some of them can be operated in a two stage arrangement. The main parameters of the experimental units are as follows:
