CzechInvest and the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI awarded the most significant investors and business property of the year 2014.
The Investor and Business Property of the Year Award ceremony was held on Thursday, on May 28th, at Žofín. The awards were given in the different categories.
The AFI Prize for Significant Achievement in the Field of Investments was awarded this year to the Unipetrol Centre of Research and Education - UniCRE which invested 200 million crowns in the new research infrastructure.
Kamil Blažek, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI said: "The Centre UniCRE was recognized as a large and important investment for the development of innovation in the Ústí region. The Centre offers employment opportunities for highly skilled specialists and also plays a role in educating young researchers. It is a unique science and research project with a significant practical reach."Among the other winners was eg. Professor Armin Delong, the founder of electron microscopy in Czechoslovakia. He was awarded with the Prize for Long-Term Benefit to the Investment Environment of the Czech Republic.
